The Algarve is a picturesque region located in the southernmost part of Portugal. Praia da Falésia

Sunbathe with the gorgeous backdrop of red and golden coloured rock formations or stroll all the way from falesia to Vilamoura on one of the longest beaches in the Algarve.

Praia dos Olhos de Água

This beach is located in the picturesque village of Olhos d’Água, a land of fishermen where, even today, beachgoers share the sand with the colourful traditional fishing boats. This tourist setting has a central square with open-air cafés and a pedestrian seafront promenade lined with palm trees. The beach and village are named after the fresh-water springs that flow on to the beach and are known locally as “olhos d’água” or “olheiros”, meaning “eyes of water”. You can see the springs at low tide at the far eastern end of the beach.

Praia de Santa Eulália

Santa Eulália beach is one of the most reputable beaches in Albufeira. With plenty of parking, this spacious and soothe beach is the ideal setting for a relaxing sunbathing day. To the east, you can already glimpse the line of white and red cliffs on Praia da Falésia.

Praia da Oura

This beach is situated at the bottom of a steep hill, close to one of the most sought-after nightlife areas of Albufeira. It is quite busy due to the central location but well worth a visit.

Praia dos Pescadores

This famous picturesque beach is very popular with locals and tourists alike. Known in English as "Fisherman's Beach" it is easily accessible from the Old Town which makes it a very busy tourist area with a wide variety of bars and restaurants just a minute away.

Praia de São Rafael

The shallow and crystal-clear waters make Praia de São Rafael one of the most popular beaches in the Albufeira area. This is a perfect snorkelling area and there are also various organised excursions by kayak or stand-up paddle board to explore the neighbouring coves and coast.

Praia da Coelha

The lovely Coelha Beach is set within high rock walls close to Albufeira. The parking is roughly 500m away from the beach itself which helps in keeping it secluded. Support infrastructures include a restaurant, WC and information facilities, and there are lifeguards on duty in the summer holiday season.

Praia do Castelo

This is a great place for walks along the cliff tops to enjoy some breahtaking panoramic views of the Algarvian coast line. The beach itself is small, nestling between rocky walls that mark the landscape.

Praia da Galé

Praia da Galé is one of the most famous beaches in the area. The golden sands stretch all the way through to Salgados and Armação de Pêra. There are a few restaurants and facilities nearby and yet it is a pleasant escape from the crowded beaches near Albufeira. Praia da Galé has been highly rated by by all the visitors.

Praia dos Salgados

Salgados is a vast beach ideal for a relaxing sunbathing holiday. Just behind the dunes you can find the Salgados Lagoon, a unique humid zone and one of the best spots in the Algarve to watch a variety of aquatic birds in a single spot. The vegetation on its banks is dense and rich in both flora and fauna. The vegetation on its banks is dense and you can see, in particular, Eurasian coots and, in winter, great cormorants, fishing. To the east lie the dune fields, more modest in height, yet equally rich in flora and fauna.

Praia da Marinha

Praia da Marinha lacks the facilities and most importantly, the easy access of other Algarve beaches however it is still one of the most sought-after of all since it is considered by the Michelin Guide as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Europe and as one of the 100 most beautiful beaches in the world.

Praia de Benagil

Benagil is a small fishing village at a cliff top. The beach lies at the bottom, next to the small fishing port. Benagil area is renowned for sea caves and unspoiled beaches which you can visit by boat from the Benagil port. Parking is quite difficult since there is no proper parking, just street parking on the road running up and down the valley.

Praia do Vale de Centeanes

Set at the base of rocky walls, Vale de Centeanes beach has a wooden staircase which also marks the beginning of a nature trail. Here you can see caves that have been cut out by the sea. Snorkeling is great way to discover the secrets of the abundant marine life in this area.

Praia do Carvoeiro

Carvoeiro was once a fishing village and has now become a well-known tourist resort. It boasts a welcoming bay with calm waters. Fishing boats are still part of the scene still used for fishing but also to take tourists visit the caves and beaches inaccessible by land.

Praia da Rocha

Praia da Rocha is surrounded by dramatic cliffs and stretches for over one kilometre of sand. Up on the seafront avenue, there is a succession of hotels, bars, open-air cafés, discos and a casino, all eventually leading up to Portimão Marina and providing an array of tourist activities that bring added colour and complement the entertainment on the beach.
